Superman

Superman Returns

I didn’t enjoy the movie as much as I thought I would have. I had higher hopes given that Bryan Singer directed this movie. Despite the positive reviews, the movie still didn’t do it for me. Both Superman and Clark Kent were flat as characters. Superman’s identity as Clark Kent was almost an afterthought.

I wish Bryan Singer had stayed on to do X3. Now we’re left with two disappointing franchises. And I heard Pirates isn’t that great either. Is it really too much to expect good summer blockbusters? Or is that an oxymoron?

I heard Brandon Routh signed for three movies. Superman Returns had to be a film just to grab attention while the next two will finish the popular set of movies that were played by Christopher Reeves twenty years ago. Working a weekend with Pirates I came to the conclusion that it is going to be a strong trilogy, or someone is just going to make a lot of money.

Hi Tom. So Routh is signed on for three movies? Wow. Maybe my expectations were too high. BTW, Routh is a former high school classmate of someone who used to come to my church. I can probably get my six degrees of Kevin Bacon from there.

You worked on the Pirates movie?

No I work at a small Theater in my home town. We managed over 7500 people in one weekend.
I also heard Routh agreed to Superman after Singer talked about the curse that happened to the previous Supermen.
